INTRODUCTION

OnetreeOnelife is an eco-friendly crypto-currency developed in collaboration with some of the best minds of Blockchain Technology. Our objective is to provide a reliable cryptocurrency for both who are looking for investment and for doing transactions via Crypto. Our team is already in talks with various corporations and non-governments organisations to set its footprint around the globe and reduce carbon emission by planting as many trees as possible in lesser period of time.

OnetreeOnelife (TREE) is an initiative dedicated to developing an array of different programs to combat global warming and climate change. To slow and eventually reverse the effects of global warming, we need to develop realistic carbon sequestration targets employing various activities including afforestation, reforestation, renewable energy preservation, soil regeneration, recycling and climate management.

Forests play a critical part to keep our environment healthy. But our forests need us more than ever – more than 1 million acres of National Forests are in need of reforestation. To bring awareness to this incredible need “One Tree One Life” was set up to go global and act accordingly in this regard and make world a better place to live.

Further to counter our carbon footprint and give back to society, we have pledged to plant at least 500,000 trees by end of 2023 in collaboration with various NGOs. OnetreeOnelife is working towards repairing the ecosystem which is an integral part of its identity. Although it is multifaceted, we have decided to address this as one of its principals - "To plant a tree is to give body and life a better world". It is our responsibility towards our ecosystem to make efforts and harness our energy and resources to put back what we are taking away and help this world become a better place and be answerable to our future generations.

NEED

Earth's temperature has risen by 0.14° F (0.08° C) per decade since 1880, and the rate of warming over the past 40 years is more than twice that: 0.32° F (0.18° C) per decade since 1981. 2020 was the second-warmest year on record based on NOAA's temperature data, and land areas were record warm.

Earth in 2021 was about 1.1°C (1.9°F) warmer than it was in the late 19th century, when the Industrial Revolution was underway and weather stations were popping up around the world.

There are many reasons to setup OneTreeOneLife which clearly states the need for tree plantation across the globe. Some of the reasons/benefits are stated below-

Tree planting improves wildlife habitat connectivity and supports biodiversity.
Trees remove harmful pollutants from the air and act as our natural air filter.
Wildfire accounts for a staggering 80 percent of reforestation needs.
More than one million acres of National Forests are in need of reforestation.

In one year, 100 mature trees can remove 53 tons of carbon dioxide and 430 pounds of pollution from the atmosphere!
Reforestation helps make our forests more resilient to future challenges like climate change and wildfire.
After severe wildfires, prompt reforestation is important to prevent soil erosion and protect water quality in downstream rivers and lakes.

Our mission is to sensitise and empower people to give back to nature and live in an environment conducive to their health and well-being. OnetreeOnelife inspires citizens to spare just a few hours on weekends and work towards making their cities, and their lives greener. For several years, we have worked untiringly with individuals and corporate teams alike to help change the landscape. We take pride in having fostered a buzzing community of tree lovers who continue to inspire and induct so many more in their fold. And yet, we are just at the beginning of a revolution. CARBON EMISSIONS IN THE WORLD

Global carbon emissions are increasing every day. With each year we are passing the previous year record for carbon emissions globally. The carbon emissions are reaching terrifying high levels. It is predicted by one of the science magazines, that by the end of the year 2022 the numbers will reach a record high 36.8 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. It is predicted that the number will continue to grow, thus we must take action to reduce our carbon footprint.

Preliminary estimates, show that the EU greenhouse gas emissions have decreased by 0.4 % in 2016 and were closely followed by an 0.6% increase in 2017. The 2017 levels are corresponded with the 22 % reduction from 1990 levels, which is more than the EU reduction target of 20 % by 2020. According to Member States’ projections reported in 2017 and 2018: ▪ Greenhouse gas emissions in the EU are expected to decrease further by 2020 to 26 % below 1990 levels with the current measures that are already in place;32 % reduction of EU greenhouse gas emissions could be achieved by 2030, compared with 1990 levels. These projected reductions fall short of the 40 % target for 2030.

WHY BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

We chose blockchain technology because of its worldwide accessibility and because it makes everything transparently verifiable for everybody involved, which is an excellent feature for regulators and our investors. By using the blockchain, we become instantly accessible to anyone around the globe. There is immense growth potential once blockchains become more widely adopted.
